Single Cruises' next singles cruise is aimed at those who are in their forties and fifties today. The call is out, so come with us and get ready for some serious fun!
November 8th, from Miami
November 11th
From $646
Cayman Islands, Honduras, Belize and Mexico
All Baby Boomers registered to this cruise will get together early on November 8th because our boarding will be from 1:30 p.m up to 3:30 p.m. Once on board, and after taking a moment to unpack in our cabins (which, by the way, will leave you amazed for the way they optimized all that space), we're getting together for our first orientation talk and take the cruise head on!
We're having this singles cruise on board of the Valor, by Carnival. Valor is the Spanish for "courage" or for "value", but my money is on that they named it this way because of the first meaning, because this cruise ship belongs to the Class Conquest in Carnival. The Valor is a beautiful cruise ship with 14 decks to explore and a lot of things to do. That being said, let's highlight a few things about this cruise ship. As a matter of fact, all singles coming with us will be on board of a Pandora's box of variety and surprises.
Let's start by saying the Valor invites you to enjoy some great performances at the immense Ivanhoe Theater. Go get a seat and you will see a fantastic mise-en-scène, great music, customs and/or dancing, depending on what they will be featuring that night. Some people say these shows are Broadway material, so if I were you, I'd come and check it out by myself.
In the Valor, if you want to admire some extraordinary works may choose to visit the art or photo galleries the cruise has in its lobby (which is the third deck).
For those who want to relax and pamper themselves, the Valor has all you need: swimming pools, a gym, a spa, comfortable cafés and lounges, even a cigar bar. Besides, there are restaurants for all kinds of tastes.
Those looking for some action have plenty of things to choose from too. The Valor has a sports deck and a jogging track, not to mention the night-time fun every adult man or woman can find at the One Small Step night club or the Shogun Casino and its variety of table games and slot machines.
As for the trip, we're going to four fantastic places. The first of them is the Great Cayman Island.
The Caymans are a set of three islands close to Cuba and Jamaica. They're known for being an important financial center in the Caribbean; however, it’s definitely not all business there. Among Cayman Island's attractions, I can mention the famous worldwide Seven Mile Beach, which, besides being beautiful, is full of resorts. You can go there or you can go straight to Hell (pun intended), which in the Caymans is a small field of dark limestone formations and a tourist attraction..
Other highlights include the Queen Elizabeth II botanic garden and Stingray City, where you will be able to feed and pet —needless to say— stingrays! This will really be something to tell with your friends about!
The next destination is Roatan, in Honduras. Roatan is a long thin island in front of mainland Honduras which holds a large coral reef under the surface of its sea. This makes Roatan a great place for snorkeling and scuba diving; but those not willing to go under water may find the beaches, the iguana park, the butterfly garden and horseback riding as enjoyable. If you wish to see a gorgeous sunset, Roatan is your place.
Belize is like an inconspicuous embassy of paradise. Here there is breathtaking wildlife and sunny and friendly people who live in a very peaceful country between Guatemala and Mexico. Belize has another great barrier reef, so it is also ideal for other time scuba diving and admiring what nature has arranged for you underwater. Other things you might be glad to try are wind or kite surfing, or just lying on beach.
Lastly, Cozumel, in Mexico, has a little bit of everything. For those interested in culture, there are Mayan ruins and the beautiful Chankanaab park, which is very well known. For those wanting some action, Cozumel has both horseback and ATV riding available. If you haven't tried those before, give them a shot. Cozumel is also renown for its dolphins, turtles and great sightseeing, so take your camera with you and get ready to make your friends jealous as soon as you come back.
When are we heading back? After visiting Cozumel and having so much fun, we're heading back to return home on November 11th, absolutely renewed and with renewed motivation to tackle the upcoming holiday season.
